    Benevolence of BCSB

This is a spin-off from another thread here

I'm just curious how much people actually feel inclined to give. It is an anonymous poll.

When people give you a gift which is a donation in your name to a charity does it count?

I donate only 400 bucks a year to actual CHARITIES so i put myself in the 1-5% bracket....

BUT i pay big tax dollars and our country dumps lots of money into places that need it.

I imagine a lot of people will actually be between zero and 1%.

Most of my donations go to The Human Fund

    LOL! That was a classic...

JERRY: (Reading it) "A donation has been made in your name to the Human Fund." - What is that?

GEORGE: (With pride) Made it up.

JERRY: (Continuing reading) "The Human Fund. Money for people."

    GEORGE: What do you think?

JERRY: It has a certain understated stupidity.

I don't donate money, but I volunteer quite a bit. I had planned on joining Big Sisters this year, but unfortunately I couldn't garantee being availible for a set number of hours each week for an entire year. I guess I'll have to wait until I'm either working less, or no longer in school.

I think that cancer and aids research should be stopped for population control. The human rate of birth is gravely out of control and could use a decline. So either stop the research, or start another WW. Wait, that's gonna happen soon anyways right?

We give to the United Way at work through payroll deduction, The company even corrects the taxes and it is on our t4's. It is easy and works well.

I donate over HALF of all my income to a large organization that then uses that money to support things like injection sites for junkies, exotic trips for their executives, and ridiculous salaries for their employees.
