Okay, so I'm on a ride today to Whistler with some guy who was filling up at the Chevron in Squamish at the same time I was. So here's the thing, he's leading the way at first at we're speeding (him breaking the law) then we pass some cars on a dotted yellow and then I start to lead and I go past a van on double solids (me breaking the law) when there wasn't any other traffic (ie what I felt was a safe pass) and he waits until dotted yellow, get's past the van, rides up beside me (him breaking the law) and gives me the "tisk, tisk, don't do that finger shake". So my question is, where do you draw the line? The impression that I got was that the guy was saying that he thought it was okay to break the law in one way, but not in another, even though, as far as I'm concerned, the risk factor was slim to none either way. Sometimes I ride with people who'll go slower than we were, but pass whenever they get the chance, sometimes I'll ride with people who are apes and do anything anytime, and sometimes I'll ride with people who won't speed or pass anywhere other than double lanes. Where do you draw the line?
And Carl, if you post on here, I'm not trying to blast you man, I'm just genuinly curious.
