I'm an immigrant from Asia with no criminal record, excellent credit rating. For some reasons, about 1 out of 3 times, I'm pulled for the full inspection when I enter USA. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm on bike, car or on foot. I've never had any hassle via air, however. They keep me for average 20 minutes, check my citizenship card and DL on their computer, search my belongings and vehicle, asking me a bunch of stupid and dumb questions.
They always end up saying 'you're all set' with sigh, and they look so dissapointed.
Canada bound, it's much better, but I get pulled maybe once out of 10 times. They ask me something like if I bought my leather jacket, helmet in the US (they're all 'used' looking often with bugs from farm field sticked from rides).
So my question is, is it worth getting NEXUS card for somebody like me? If I still get pulled, then I only see half cost effective. Does anyone have NEXUS card with similar situation like me, then you see any difference after getting it?
