Well as most of you know...my engine died on me...almost 2 mths ago to the day. Ask me if Martina is happy....well maybe not a good idea...you might lose your head!!
I just called RMS...yes I called...not like they would have the f*ckin balls to call me. I mean its only customer service right? They told me they are measuring the bearing and making sure its the right size...blah blah blah.
I've been out of a bike for 2mths. Oct 11th is when the engine seized. Fought with RMS for 2 weeks for them to "Warranty" the god damn bike. Finally after a Suzuki rep went and did his thing...yes they were warranting it.
After dealing with the dude behind the counter in the service dept...explaining to me that it would take weeks for parts because its coming from Japan , yadayadayada...it would be awhile before I see my bike again. Asked them what was the possiblity of a new engine and they said might be an option but most likely a rebuild was in my "path". So after getting over the initial anger of buying a brand new bike...I figured okay...well maybe its better...weighed the pro's and con's with other riders...and came to terms with...well it could have been worse...could have crashed...maybe a rebuild would be better than a crate engine...what ever....I would just get my bike back and Martina would be happy.
Well that is not the case. I've never felt so burned as I do now...I'm not a chick to go around saying that I'm being dicked around cuz i'm a girl...cuz all of you know that i don't go without a fight. But I really feel that being a new rider, being a female, and not really wanting to cause waves (cuz truly i'm a gentle soul at heart) I've been literally F*cked around. I mean even as i'm typing this out...i'm crying cuz i'm sooo freakin mad. I can't even type straight.
Even down to the true basics of customer service is lacked. I've made all the phone calls...asking the update on where my bike is right now...etc...I think that RMS called me once in the last 2 mths and i think that was because he was returning my call. I mean you'd think because motorcycling in awhole is small compared the rest of the commuting city...that all dealers etc...would treat their customers with the utmost respect and compassion and not take advantage of situations like these.
I mean even to the beginning RMS couldn't pick my bike up at Carter because they said they had no one to drive the truck as it was end of season and laid off all their summer staff...well explain to me why i saw the service guy drive the truck a month later with 2 ducatis strapped to the back. Oh and i have to stop and thank Troy at carter because he delivered my bike to RMS, knowing that i couldn't afford to tow it because i'm a single mom...talking about compassion!!
SO i guess in the end I meant nothing to RMS except but a chick that bought a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 600 for almost 12 grand.
