On the Surrey side of the Patullo bridge last night they had roadblocks set up to check drivers hadn't been drinking. fair enough, i can go along with that. What lead me to question the whole thing was where they had it located. It wasn't near the bridge, they had it further south where people weren't lining up, they were just turning off at the intersection before and going around. Who in their right mind is going to sit and wait in line to get busted, when they can simply go around the whole roadblock? The amount of people who left the line and pulled off was crazy - probably around 30%. Does this scream waste of time to anyone else? Not to mention the 5 or 6 cops on each side just casually standing around chatting. How about doing some actual police work guys???
