This is directed to the handful of people who only have bikes and ride all year round. What is the secret?
I have been planning on riding through the winter since I got the DRZ, but I am already starting to get soft. My hands get so freaking cold when I go to school at 7am, and the return trip is not a whole lot better.
I can layer my body just fine, but my hands get so cold. I recently had a flat tire, so I had to get a day permit on my truck to go to school and pick up the bike on the way home--it was quite nice. I could listen to music, have the heat cranked, and did not have to spend a few minutes to gear up before riding.
The bike is still so much cheaper to take though, I do not pay for parking, gas is cheaper, and I can ride the shoulder at will so it is quicker.
HELP me! I am already considering parking the bike for 3 months but really would like to continue two wheeling.
