so i am starting a new job pretty soon, i got a few questions..
so i am a unit based employee for shaw cable, i get paid per job/ per piece of work i do. i get full benefits, they take taxes off my cheque, pension etc.
i am required to buy/provide.
3500$ worth of tools
i am just wondering what i can "write off" at the end of the year. i'll be asking some of the guys at work that do this job already. but i want to know some background if anyone knows any?
i figure i should be able to write off a huge chunk of everything, if not all the vehicle/gas/insruance.
as it is insured for business only and used for work only.
i talked to one guy briefly and he said he gets a "huge" tax return... my gf told me that i probably get to only write off the "taxes/gst/pst" on everything for work.
