Hey. I like supermotards, seem like a very fun street bike. The bike i felt most comfy riding in and leaning into corners(and only bike i ever wheelied) was a Dr650 with stock tires....So the same bike with wider rounder street tires should do the same better. Here's a question.....How do you correct the speedo? considering the stock dual sport front wheel is much bigger overall diameter than the wider smaller supermoto wheel so that has to cause some serious speedo error. Talking about analog, not didgital like the DRZ.
I am *considering* getting a KLR650 as i want a bike suitable for touring(gave up on my 'wing for that as its a shaftie thats not even geared for the highway among many other things wrong with it) and i think it would be neat to make somewhat of a supermoto lookalike out of it, should look cool and different. I know the KLR looks(and is) a hell of a lot bulkier than the DRZ or even the 96+DR650 but it fits me pretty good and has pretty decent ergos and instruments(dont want digital like the DRZ and the DR is missing a tach..i know its just small details).
