a 250cc 2-stroke might be a handful for someone with no previous 2-stroke/dirt experience.
Some people are like Slinkies ...
Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

A 250 is easier to ride in trails than a 125.If your over 150 lbs. then I would reccomend a 250 or a four stroke. If logging roads are your gig, then a 125 will suit you fine until you get used to the power, after which you may start to crave more.A 125 motocross bike is an extremely violent machine. They make more horsepower for the size of the engine than anything (except maybe an 80).The problem is that mostly all 35 horsepower are focussed in a small area near the top of the rpm range.KTM and Yamaha have appearently solved this "problem", and have produced bikes which make sufficient power down low to effectively ride at a moderate level, but these are the newest 125's and have a superior engine to the older models.

Do you know how easy it is to bring a US bike into Canada? In the States, they call their bikes "ticketed" or something to that effect, I think they have some sort of registration process for offroad vehicles.

Just curious as to what that means at the border, if anything? Is there still duty on a used item?

Bikes seem a HELL of a lot cheaper out of the states.

I paid GST and PST on the purchase price at the border. You can PM me if you want more info.

I have my 03 CR250R for sale....4300 obo if you are interested.

A 250, as long as you have some throttle control is MUCH easier to just get out and enjoy trails and stuff on.

    I prefer 125 2 strokes to be honest...but thats me and I'm a minority these days...hell even I am getting a new 250f

Haha, I just snagged up a 2 stroke 250 from Bill. I have about as much experience on dirtbikes as I do walking on my hands.

That singer before me. Who was it? It was very courageous of MTV to start the show with a genuine transvestite, he was very convincing. It was only his hands and his testi satchels that gave it away.
