I went for 3 days, Fri-Sun. You can get a Snowmax card that's $120 for 4 days; 1 day's lift pass is $60 so it's worth it for even 3 days.
It's an amazing mountain. It's vertical is around 4300 ft. In comparison, Whistler is about 5300 ft and Cypress is 1700 ft. The gondola goes from bottom to top and believe it or not, most people ski top to bottom, it's one long way down. If you love fall line mountains, you'll love Kicking Horse, it's technical with lots of varried terrain but it's more challenging than the average local mountain. The snow was dry and light although we didn't have a dump of fresh snow. Lots of steeps and lots of cruisers. Amazing scenery although we didn't have crystal blue skies. The only thing that could have been better is the food. We stayed in golden, it's about a 15 minute drive to the base as there's nothing really up at the mountain other than 2 lodges.
