I got sent a letter from ICBC saying that they were watching my driving record about 6 months ago because I had 9 points. About 3 months after recieving that letter I then got a speeding ticket bringing my total points to 12 which was followed shortly after by another letter. This letter said that they are putting me on probation until May and that if I accumulate any more offences that they could/would give me a suspension. Well, I just got a failure to wear a seatbelt fine yesterday so I'm thinking I'm probably toast.
My questions are;
How sticky are they about this stuff ? Do the really mean any offences ? My seatbelt fine didn't come with points so do you think they are likely to let it slide ?
If they suspend your licence are you still able to buy a new insurance policy and put yourself down as principal operator if you don't owe them any money ? (If one was willing to take the chance of riding while on suspension, not that I would. )
If the answer is no you're likely to see my 2001 F4i in "Bikes For Sale" come March.
Oh yeah, before the flamin starts I already know it was stupid to not be more careful but it's too late now so let's just skip that part.
