Ok, so I've been on this house cleaning/rearranging kick the last couple of weeks. Last night, I had to move my TV from my dresser to my bed temporarily so I could bring in a proper TV stand (for the techies, it's a 26 inch widescreen Toshiba flat CRT, not lcd, not plasma).
This thing weighs about 80 lbs so I'm hugging this thing from the front so I have the picture tube pressed up against my chest. I left it plugged in on an extension cord so I could move it around, because it took forever to "dial in" all the video settings and I was afraid to lose them.
Anyhoo, so just as I have this TV up in the air, bending at the knees and using the power of my sphincter to maintain proper lifting form, I inadvertedly pressed the power button with one of my protruding ab muscles.
I should mention that I've been electrocuted plenty of times before, but this was really quite different. It was like this huge static discharge going right through me. My eyes literally popped out of my head for a second (one of them actually touched the wall) and my knees buckled, but I was able to keep my load from dropping.
Today, I'm not feeling so good, but that really started after the two frozen chimichangas I got from the vending machine at work.
So am I going to get any special super powers or anything?
