OK, the past couple of months have not been great in terms of riding weather, but the past couple of weeks have been a real chore. In the morning, when the fog is thick I find that I am getting ice buildup on my faceshield.
I guess the combination of warm breath, heavy moisture, and cold ambient temperature is the culprit, but is there a spray or something I can use to prevent this? All this week I am finding I have to wipe the inside and outside of my sheild every 20-30 seconds or so in order to have any reasonable visibility. Once I get to the higher elevations of Burnaby (coming from Cloverdale) the fog clears up and is not a problem, but for the majority of my commute it can be a bit sketchy.
