OK First off I'm just posting this as a question!
How come when beginners ask what bike they should get the obvious answers (under 500 cc, light and cheap) cc and cheap i understand but light? most of the bikes suggested for beginners:
2007 GS500 180.0 kg (396.8 pounds)
2007 SV 650 165.0 kg (363.8 pounds)
2005 Ninja 500 176.0 kg (388.0 pounds)
2005 Ninja 250 137.9 kg (304.0 pounds)
2007 Honda Rebel 250 139.0 kg (306.4 pounds)
With the exception of the 250 ninja and Rebel most of the other bikes are heavier than a:
2000 CBR600 F4 170.0 kg (374.8 pounds)
Since the weight is so close together with most of these bikes.(500-650) Wouldn't the weight issue not matter?
In other words i don't understand how people can say "Heavy bikes are not for beginners like a cbr. Start with something light like a gs500 or ninja 500."
But their heavier than a CBR?!
isn't that contradicting themselves?
Just wondering your opinions.
