it was a clear night, and the roads were dark and wet. 2 travellers were weary and worn, coated in road dirt and visors fogged. They went from inn to inn, but everywhere the story was the same, 'we have no room for you,and your bikes are loud, and your dress coarse, we want travellers of a finer type'. Our travellers, beginning to lose hope, woke innkeepers near and far but always the door was shut in their face. (meanwhile, a bright star overhead served as a guide for any wise men hoping to find our travelers and present gifts). It seemed that the only lodging looked to be a stable, where bluenote would sleep in a manger... and there our story departs, because a christmas miracle was had, and a resort was found. And bluenote looked at the resort, and it was good.
two nutbars reporting from cannon beach:
the surf looks great, it is overcast with a little rain, roads were quite pristine for the time of year, and the people have been extremely friendly.
no tickets, an easy pace, temperature is pretty good. I recommend the surfside resort in cannon beach -- apparently they are the only place with night staff to check in at 2am.
pictures and a check in from the other nutbar to follow
See you all at butterchicken if we're back in time
