So luckily for my brother and I, Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day to test drive bikes. And would you know it, we each found one that suits us!
Since there isn't a 'Bike Reviews' category (that would be sweet), I am hoping there could be some good stories or short personal reviews on these bikes that would excite us even further until we pick up our bikes up this Saturday.
I got a 1999 Honda VFR with a Micron exhaust, and about 32,000 kms, And my bro got a 2004 Bandit 1200s with about 8,000 kms, bone stock.
The VFR is actually an American bike, but it has a nice corbin seat on it and raised handle bars. As well as a aftermarket windsheild.
After all the research i've done, I have to say this VFR seems like a great bike. Even though those km's would sound high on a sportbike, it sounds to me like it should go for another 40-50,000 kms easy. Correct?
There should be more then enough power as well, but I didn't get to test drive it fully since the roads were a bit wet.
I have a few years of sportbike under my belt, and want to get something a little more comfortable for the long hauls, but that I can still drive everyday to work downtown.
Was it a decent choice?
The price was $6700 (plus I'm getting them to throw in New tires)
My bro doesn't have the same desire to sit aggressively while riding as I do, so he went for a bigger bike that was affordable.
Any comments on these bikes would be appreciated. Either way we're just stoked to begin an early riding season.
Hope to see you on the rode.
