So about three hours after reinsuring, my ride is toast. Since the claim's on someone else (a taxi if you can believe it), ICBC is covering a replacement lid. When I talked to the rep about this it was a real short conversation. She just said "go pick up a new one, just keep it reasonable".
I talked to someone who upgraded (like I'm planning on doing) but only had partial pmt covered because it exceeded the original helmet's cost by too much. How much I don't know.
I'd like to know what everyone else's experience has been and, for those lucky enough to get a softy claims rep, how much extra they've been able to get out of ICBC (before they wouldn't cover the whole cost).
