My 250 Ninja's front brakes started being weird just a while back... I was cruising along Scott road, slowed down for a car that just pulled out in front of me... went to go again and the bike fought me like crazy. After some serious revs, I was able to get the bike off the road, finally realizing that my front brakes were locked on.
So out comes the trusty 10mil wrench, a quick twist of the bleeder valve, and 'click' they release and all seems normal. But... this problem is recurring. I have completely changed the brake fluid, bled the brakes, and it still happens. If the bike sits in the sun for a long enough period of time, the brakes will apply and I have to bleed again.
Weird thing is, when I bleed the brakes, my mind tells me that there should be at least a little pressure at the nipple, considering that the brakes are being held on by force.. but when I crack the cleeder, just a few drops of fluid roll out, and all is well again.
Any ideas? Need a new caliper? Can this one be rebuilt? Pads are at about 1/3 life left. What else could it be?
Thanks in advance.
