yes, I know. Newbie question and I can't seem to get a real answer. I'm thinking maybe it depends on the bike. I have a 97 zx9r and I've seen videos of people riding the same bike city/highway riding and constantly shifting on or around 10rpm if not redlining it and crusing above 5 or 6. Well, I know bikes like to rev high but is this good for the engine in the long run? not a gas saver way but I'm trying to treat my bike properly and I usually shift around 5 or 6 and cruise at around 3 or 4? What about you? what rpm do you shift in?
