Hey, quick question folks...any of you know anything about car immobilizers? How do they work? Do they function off of the car's ECU, or something else?
The reason I'm asking is because I want to know if it's possible to install one of these on an older car (from the 1960s)...built back when computers were something you found at NASA, not in your automobile.
I've got an immobilizer on my truck (from the factory), and it does bring me a lot of piece of mind knowing I can leave it parked outdoors for days without worrying too much that it'll be stolen.
Also - anyone to respond with a google link will be banished to the land of wind and heat. I'm all about abuse of power.
