Okay, I got my tank "repaired" by leakers.
It was about $200 for what was supposed to be repair on a couple of holes, de-rusting and a lining inside.
So, the holes are fixed and it seems that he welded seams around everything like the petcock, gas cap, and some spots on the bottom.
I'm a bit concerned though...
When I look inside the tank it is just bare metal, no evidence of a liner being applied, the surface of the tank is very rough in some patches where it appears he welded something, and there are DENTS which were not there before.
When I dropped it off, I told him that it was being painted and needed to be smooth. He made no effort to smooth out his welds, and I cant think of any reason why he needed to add dents to my nice smooth tank... What should I do about this? I just picked it up from the bus station in Victoria, he shipped it back to me.
What little words we have spoken to each other, he seemed very rude and short with me, not very professional. Not to mention his business is run out of his back yard with no business signs on the street, a private gated yard with 2 big huskies that would probably scare off most customers as you have to open/close the gate yourself to get in and out of his property.
Here are some pictures of my concerns:
