Question Place for practice in Burnaby

    Hi,
Looking for a big and quiet parking lot to polish my low speed maneuver skills after winter brake. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    -Igor.

    Close to Burnaby...

Silvercity parking lot over on Schoolhouse early in the morning. Even noonish might be ok, I'm not sure how busy the matinee movies are. They have the extra overflow lot in the back too.

Could you specify the location please? I'm still new in the area.
    Thanks,
    -Igor.

    04 Kawi Z1000,
There's big parking lots all over the place. Where in Burnaby do you live?
A backyard mechanic without a service manual is just like a hooker without a lamp pole.... they are both in the dark.

    None right now...
Along Winston Street beside Burnaby Lake, there are a number of warehouses. There are nice large parking lots in front, that are completely dead in the evenings and on weekends. Been there many times.

The C lot at SFU is pretty quiet in the evenings. As long as you are not doing stunts, the security guards are pretty nice.

Have you tried the ICBC (could be a BC Access) lot down on Lougheed Hwy? Right across from the Swiss Chalet & Earl's just east of Boundary Rd. There's even some lines painted for practicing turns & curves. I suppose they use it for novice tests. My wife did a lot of practising there before getting her license.

Thanks, everyone! Now I have no excuses to not train before the riding season
