Hi I have a quick question for any of the Gurus here.
I've been thinking about replacing the rear shock on my 97 gixxer 600 with something newer.
One of the forum members have a rear shock from a 2005 gixxer 600.
The 05 shock is 12.75" long and the 97 shock is 13.75" long.
So the newer shock is 1" shorter compared to my older shock.
How would this alter my bike?I have been thinking about raising the rear end of my bike.
Does the shorter shock raise the rear end or do I need a longer shock to raise the rear?
I had a T-ace before and I swapped the dog bones on it to raise the rear end on it.
Being 6'1" is a hazzle sometimes but after the mod on the T-ace it was a transformed bike with more leg room and much easier to take corners with.
