My buddie and I headed out to the Stave Lake loop first. Somewhere during the loop we joined a group of about five or six other riders. One of them I had went on a few rides with last summer. We head out over the dam and down the hill. Up ahead was a downhill decreasing radius corner. I rounded it and came upon on of the riders who had gone off the road. His bike hit the concrete barrier, flipped and came to rest in the soft grassy creek/ditch on the side of the road. The rider was completely unhurt to our amazement. He had only a motorcycle jacket, helmet, gloves, jeans and runners on. Reason for the crash: too fast into the corner plus insufficient rider experience. After pulling the brand new bike out of the ditch and waiting to see if it was ridable (which it was) buddie and I went our own way. I suggested lunch in Harrison. Which is what we did. After an excellent burger at the "Old Settlers" restaurant we began our ride home. We arrived in mission and joined two guys on street dirtbikes. Some ways down the mission highway we were joined again by two more guys this time on sportbikes. Some hooliganism was then displayed among us five before we parted ways with some thumbs ups and ear to ear grins.
I can't believe the weather today considering it is April 6th and not even a week ago it snowed. We saw hundreds of motorcycles today. I got sick of waving at them there were so many.
