as a class one license holder (no i'm not a trucker) i can tell you that the driver is not trying to be a dick. the road is so tight that the trailer has to track like that to stay on the road at all. having said that though, i would agree that trucks should not be allowed on that road - far too dangerous.
As a non-class 1 license holder who grew up the Kootenay's, where most of the roads are like that (think S2S but narrower). Most of the trucks (yep even ones with Alberta plates ) up there some how manage to stay in their OWN lane.

it's not so much that the road has tight turns, it's that the lanes are so narrow. the tires on the trailer barely fit between the lines when the truck is going straight. it is absolutely impossible for the truck to stay in it's own lane in that video. that definitely should not be a truck route, but if it is, than the trucker is doing nothing wrong.
I could only watch the first few minutes, but who was crossing the yellow more, the bike or the truck?
There probably should have been a pilot vehicle ahead of that rig.
I only watched a few minutes of it but from what I saw, he was doing his best to avoid taking the tractor over the center line. as for the trailer, not alot you can do when you can't swing the front wide enough.
duc and ape and mv to come soon
also as a class 1 lic holder (commercial mechanic, not trucker) that driver is doing nothing to prevent the trailer from wondering excessivly into the othe rlane,, if you look at the tractor, he is close to the left side of the lane while turning left,,, he should be huggin the right, if not a little on the right shoulder(but that would also kick up some rocks) but that shouldent be a truck route.
The rider has no skills... couldn't even hold a line :-S
Why bother making a video?
All the gear, all the time. Because I'm really attached to my skin.
those riders spent almost as much time in the oncoming lane as the semi did. I agree, It shouldn't be a truck route, and as well the driver was doing the best he could. the riders on the other hand..........
Some people are like Slinkies ...
Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

One reason not to ride the gap, but its still such a sexy road. but ban commercial vehicles on it for christ sake!
