What's it going to take? Here's the list so far:
-Winter of '04 my car is stolen from my parent's driveway. Pay $300 deductible. Transmission destroyed. ICBC doesn't believe me when I tell them the thieves did it. Buy used unit for $250, spend hours installing it in dad's garage. Got exactly what I paid for.
-Summer of '06 my motorcycle is almost stolen from work, ignition messed up. Pay $300 deductible.
-Winter of '06/'07 my old car is vandalized at the outside parking at my apartment. Deductible waved because I didn't ask that they fix all the damage.
-And last night my beautiful red sportscar is broken into along with 4 other vehicles in the "secure" underground parking of my apartment building.
That's right. Last night thieves broke into the apartment building by prying open one of the flimsy wooden doors from outside. They then proceed to the underground parking and find that door locked. This door was made of metal but was no problem for the thieves as they pried it open with their trusty crowbar as well. They then broke into 5 cars. They took my stereo amp ($200), my ipod ($422), my ipod charger ($30), my sunglasses ($20), and the faceplate from my deck. They didn't take the deck though. One of the phillips screws was stripped. I remember I stripped it out last time I reinstalled the deck.
