Well this past saturday I decided to volunteer at Mission. They had things under control so they gave me a hot dog coupon and told me to enjoy my day. Later on in the afternoon I ran into a friend who said Ishould take a few laps. I borrowed hisleathers and off we go.
I was riding with the quicker group (behind yamaharv) and was having a great time, even put my knee down a couple times I know yay me! After 4 or 5 laps I noticed how much of a freakin work out it is out there. I started to fatigue a little but fought through it realizing I wont get many chances for free laps on a track.
On the last hot lap yamaharv allowed me to go past him because it seemed as though I wanted past him( at the time I'm sure I did). Big mistake. Through corners 7 and 8 I seemed to have lost my confidence I kept shoulder checkin to see if Iwas holding people up. This break in concentration caused me to take 9 way too wide and I tried to correct by laying the bike hard into the corner. Under acceleration I lost traction and low sided her.
As my face was skidding along the track I felt my jacket getting ripped up so Itried to stand, bad move. Not having stopped yet this caused me to go ass over tea kettle all the way into the dirt.
So here I am with a sprained wrist and ankle, and very very bruised ego.
I'll post pics of the bike when I go look at her today.
