Well gang as you know I finally got my nice little GPS all ready mounted ..good to go and we're heading off for a nice little 2 or 3 day ride to Idaho on Friday. So buddy sends me a garnin file to upload on to my unit so we're both on the same page. Well as I was uploading the file I had this massive BRAINFART and I aborted the upload. Unbelievable ...the data got corrupted and I couldn't upload anything. All my maps are gone and I've had to send the unit back to Quebec to have the whole mess straightened out. Go figure 4-$500 and loser boy is heading for Idaho with a map! Go Figure. The guy at Garmin USA said I might get it back in time until I said that nasty word...CANADA and he goes oh noo....thats gonna be like 3 - 4 weeks as its in canada...ARRRGGGHHHH!
Oh well there is a lessen here. When uploading or downloading info to your GPS unit if you don't like what you've done, let it finish the up or download first then correct the problem after. Just a heads up fomr a guy with a map.
