i have decided I want to make a trip by bicycle to kimberley bc. I have family there and would like to visit, but I have some time, and I think riding my $50 road bike from cheapskates would be a great experience. I have all the right light camping gear, just curious if anyone with knowledge of something like this could help me out with the minimal tools I should have, and any clothing suggestions, especially footwear.
Pump, extra tubes, chain tool, lights, and locks locks locks are some things I can think off the top of my head.
also, anybody know of a way to set up a 12 volt charging system for my phone, ipod, camera batteries on a bicycle. Might be just too heavy and i'll stay over at a motel one or 2 nights to just get all charged up, or hang out in a mcdonalds for a couple hours haha. I'd prefer if this cost me little more than food costs, maybe a couple nights at real campgrounds, but I have no problem being up and moving before anyone finds me squatting hehe.
Thanks guys, hopefully someone can help.
