I try not to speed to much on my bike, but when I do i except the risk of getting a ticket, since I would deserve it, and would/have act(ed) courteous to the officer who pulls me over. Today a cop pissed me off. I was travelling up the Scott Rd hill in Surrey doing 70 kms. ( in my truck ) when this cop blows past me doing anywhere between 90-100 kms per hour (no exageration). I pull up to the light and he's just sitting there looking at his laptop. Light changes and he takes off like a bat out of hell, probably reaching the afore mentioned speeds, and hits the next light. I pulled up beside him and tried to make eye contact with him. I think he realized that I was watching him and he desided to put on his special gloves and put on quite a show doing it ( never knew it could be that complicated ) Light changed, so he again took off and hit the next red. I was hoping he would make eye contact so I would be able to chit-chat with him. I'm a tax payer, paying his salary, and paying for the car, ect. We entrust them with power, and authority over us, it just sad that "some" of these guys irresponsibly abuse it. It's a Friday night, how much you wanna bet he pulled someone over for speeding, and then showed them how powerful he was. If I was doing what he was doing in his police car on my bike I might have gotten an excessive speeding ticket since I'm on the wrong side of the law. Rant over.
