EVERY single F@#$ing time i try to look at a used bike and once its running around 2000- 1500 or so i try to get up close and listen to misc. noises and see what noise comes from where, the salesguy starts revving the piss out of the bike. First off this is annoying as hell and i dont thik 5000 RPM do any motor any good when its stone cold. Today i was lookin at the 90' ZX6 at Maple ridge motorsports and the salesguy kept revving the piss out of it 4-5 grand every time i tried to listen to the motor. and i told him " why are you revving the piss out of a cold engine?" and of course he said 'huh?!" ignored it and kept doin it.
Ever happened to you? or maybe i am missing something and its good for a cold motor to be run at 5 grand? I assume the idea is to make sure the screaming of the motor/exhaust will drown any odd mechanical noises.....I've had it with sales people and private sellers trying to hide and lie about any possible flaw the bike hasI did come across a few somewhat honest sellers but its rare.
