I took the plunge and bought a 2007 CBR600RR today.
I am coming from a Honda 599 and I would say this CBR has more low end power than the 599, and, of course, way more high end as well.
The ergos are little shorter than the '06 CBRRR and narrower in the seat. I didn't feel any difference in the bar height, from the '06 CBRRR, even though they are claiming it is a little higher than last years.
I have only been riding for a year so I am very cautious, I can't really give much feed back on handling. Plus it's raining today, I am still riding, but taking it easy. It is quite easy to ride and balances nice at slow speeds. The throttle, clutch, and brakes all work very well for a newer rider. Nothing strange or abrupt, quite smooth. I wouldn't recommend it to a new rider, but it is forgiving for someone like me. Mind you I haven't taken it past 10K RPM yet.
The engine is quite smooth, should get smoother once it breaks in. It's not too loud but definetly is louder than my 599 was.
P.S. It's Red.
