I was wondering what class you all are racing on saturday. The reason I ask is I find that most of you with some experience usually drop a class when racing locally (as opposed to internationally).
As a general guideline, If you have less than one year experience on a supermoto (myself included) or less than 5 races you should be in the novice class. Over one year riding or 5 competitive style races should move you up into intermediate. Anything beyond 2+ years supermoto or 10+ races should sit you in the experienced class.
I'm not saying it's not a good idea to race every class you can, but lets keep it reasonable. It would be nice to imagine that a novice wins the novice class and so forth. I think I will enter both novice and intermediate. Novice to compete in and intermediate to learn and get some more track time with.
Now for the exceptions:
If you own a shop you have to race in experienced
If your parents named you William you have to race in experienced
If your coffee mug at work says "Godfather" on it you must race in experienced
If your business card has the word "Carter" on it you must race experienced
If you run a superbike school on or near the west coast you must race experienced
If you are reading this and any of it is ringing a bell you must race eperienced
If your supermoto costs more than my supermoto you must race experienced
If your supermoto costs more than my truck you must sponsor me
