Older Parents & Relatives Phone Solutions
Anyone have older parents or relatives that use one of those telephone solutions for people who have fallen down and/or other emergencies and want help?
I know there are basically two kinds of units: ones that do not have monthly services and auto-dial an outgoing message triggered from a pendant or wrist device, and units that have a monthly fee and are also triggered from a pendant or wrist device.
What’s the story on hospitals, firehalls and police etc responding to auto-dial outgoing messages from the non-monthly fee units?
I did a bunch of research on this a few years ago for my mom in law but at the time she refused to go for it, however she fell recently and could not get up. Although she had a cordless phone with her she could not remember my number, so the emergency team broke down her front door and rushed her to the hospital etc.
It was a big PITA with a destroyed front door and hospital stay etc, all of which could have been avoided and of course there could be a time when she does not have the cordless phone near enough. I did a bit of internet searching today but I’m hoping some of you might have first hand experience on the various types.

Doesn't alarm force have some plug-in module to use their 2-way communication for that? If they already have/want a house alarm, you could do a 2 for 1.
Interesting idea! I don't use Alarm Force & she lives in a condo on her own with no alarm system outside of the security of the condo building itself (for what that’s worth).
