Found this video interesting.
30-60 seconds for any chain it seems.
just chain a rottweiler to your bike while you're at it...problem solved
is it just me or does the bald guy look like Kyle Gass from Tenacious D?
Next time you're having a bad day think about this... You and your brother are conjoined twins, he is gay you are not. He has a date coming over in an hour and you share one ass.
how nice of them to advertise!! geez..

I am my own LBS
Chains, cables, disc locks are all easily defeated if the bad guy is prepared.
The guy I spoke to in the above thread is out and about FWIW.
Log off and ride.
Acta Virum Probant
Locks, alarms, garages, they're all about deterrence, not absolute protection. I park during the days around a bunch of other bikes, all unlocked, except mine.
If they need to decide between pulling out the boltcutters in public to take mine, or just grabbing the one without a chain around it, what do you think they're going to do? That's effective deterrence.
I'm going to have my bike jacked this week, just for being a smug asshole I'm sure
I think hooking up a 100 amp capacitor onto the vehicle so as soon as the thief goes to touch it he gets a jolt that could possibly kill him, (heck imo it costs too much jail them, with too low a percentage of correction), this is only to be used when you park your bike at your place, so some random innocent person doesnt get hurt.
Just have a remote which turns capacitor on/off and have a shielded wire to ground it out on the ground and loose the charge when you wish to ride.
