So it turns out that starting that Poll thread about dropping/crashing your bike was a bit of a curse. A day after starting the thread, I dropped my bike.
Here's how it went down:
Pushed the bike to the end of my driveway, getting ready to go for a 2-up ride. Engine wasn't even running yet! Put the bike on the kickstand, threw on my helmet and gloves, climbed on the bike.
My girlfriend, jokingly, was like "so, can i drive?" Me, jokingly, say "yea sure!" and i slide back onto the pillion seat. Well, of course, this little moment of a joke throws the balance off the bike on the kickstand and it starts to teeter over, I jump back down to driver's seat to try and catch it, but to no avail...you may know these old ZX-6's are pigs of a bike...with the full tank of gas i was probably trying to catch about 450 lbs of bike. So, '95 ZX-6r, with custom burnt-orange flawless paint, down onto its side.
I know the sympathy might not be that high cause it was stupid, and cause it's an older bike, but the paint was seriously flawless. The damage isn't terrible because it was literally not moving and I was fighting it the whole way down, so it was more of a 'set-down' than a drop. Bike wouldn't start up for a couple hours and ran rough for about 5 minutes. Seems ok now.

And the scratches aren't the worst part of it:
anyhow. never should've started this thread. Cursed myself.
