I don't mean for insurance/cop purposes. No offence but I find it morbid, especially if someone has been injured and especially if someone has died.
The pic of the blue ZX-9 on Hwy 99 reminded me of someone who was killed there on a similar bike. Now, I only met this person once or maybe twice but I still don't like the idea of remembering a person that way.
I was on a Mt Baker ride earlier this year where a guy on a 600 crashed which resulted in some minor injuries. I saw at least 3 people standing there with their cameras, taking pics.
It just makes me wonder if I crashed and needed help, if the same people would be more concerned with getting a picture than helping.
I really hope these same people would never think to take a pic of a rider while he is down and in agony after a crash.
