A man riding a scooter died Thursday afternoon after crashing into the back of a truck that had stopped to do landscaping along King George Highway.
The collision happened at about 4 p.m. as the landscaping truck was parked along a raised median in the 3300-block.
While its crew was working on the vegetation in the median, the scooter rear-ended the truck.
The rider was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital by emergency crews but died from his injuries.
Surrey RCMP are still asking to speak with any witnesses who have not yet come forward. If you saw the crash contact Const. Voy Wesolowski of the criminal collision investigation team at 604-599-0502.
I had the unfortunate sighting of a downed cyclist on 88th and 152 this morning... Female cyclists was clipped by a semi-truck. She did not make it.
RIP to both riders.
