Racers out there...I have a question for you. What's your fitness routine?
It's the off-season, which means it's time to get in shape (well, for me at least). I want to know what you guys focus on. I haven't been to the gym in about two months (since midterms started)...but I'm gonna start going now since I have more time on my hands. I have continued to run, so my cardio isn't too bad. I run 3-4kms about three times a week...although that dropped to about once a week while I was writing term papers.
Aside from working more on the cardio...what else do you guys do, as far as weight training or anything else? I noticed that I had some SORE legs after just one day on the track (my quads killed for like three days!) so I'm gonna work on building up some leg strength. Moving from side-to-side, and hardly ever sitting on the seat starts to HURT. What else do you guys do? What do you focus on for upper body? Do you do any particular stretching and stuff for flexibility, etc?
It's a good idea to stay fit anyways...but I just figured I may as well keep riding in mind while I'm doing it.
