Today I went to start my R6 and it was in neutral and when I hit the starter I heard this bang and the bike did not turn over. I immeditaely tried to start it again but it seemed as if the battery voltage was low and the battery could not turn the engine over. That happened for a few attempts. I then placed the bike in 1st and rolled it backwards and hit the starter again and nothing but all of a sudden it fired over but just barely (again seemed like the voltage was low)
It ran fine and every attempt at staring it since has been successful.
This exact same problem happened to my bro's 99 ZX-6 but we did not find the problem out because he wrote the bike off.
What do you think is causeing this problem?
Low batt voltage--no enough to turn the engine over
Starter crapping out
some kind of hyraulic lock not allowing the engine to turn over
All opinions welcome
