    Help! Shifter change

My shifter cracked a few weeks ago and I now have a new one. Maybe it's just me but this seems to have a trick or something to it. My Sv650 is the same setup as a gixxer from years 01 and up.
    Can anyone help me.
What is the easiest way to replace my shift pedal?

On bikes where the shift lever is mounted to the rearset you generally need to remove the rearset from the frame so you can access the back to remove the bolt or C ring that holds the shift lever to the rearset. You'll want to undo the connecting shaft first.
A backyard mechanic without a service manual is just like a hooker without a lamp pole.... they are both in the dark.

exactly. I busted down to princess to make my life easier and got c ring pliers. I took mine off to polish it, and change the old grease in it. Shifts like a champ. Now the blame is on me haha.
