Quite possibly THE worst online dealer I've ever come across:
June 18 - Surfing eBay, I come across an eBay dealer who does carbon fibre parts, their ratings are fine, and I find a nice looking SV rear hugger and a Buell flyscreen. I buy both items using the Buy It Now feature. I receive the standard emails congratulating me on my items, and another email from the dealer stating that if I purchased more than one item to wait for an email containing the final total including both parts and shipping.
All is well.
June 23 - I receive the above mentioned email and promptly click their payment link where I pay for my items by Mastercard (probably my mistake not using PayPal). I receive email confirming my payment has been received and stating that some parts are in high demand and must be ordered from their warehouse, so please allow up to 3 weeks before shipping. I figure an SV hugger and a Buell flyscreen can't be high demand items, but I give them the benefit of the doubt.
All is... pretty well.
July 1 - I email to inquire about the status of my order.
July 2 - I receive an email from a different email address stating the same as above, but ensuring me they are receiving a new order the following week and I will be contacted as soon as they ship my order.
All is well, I guess...
July 2 to July 20 - They cease responding to my emails. Suddenly they are no longer a registered eBay dealer. I contact eBay to open a dispute resolution process, I contact Mastercard to do the same. MC give me their phone number to contact them directly before filing a dispute. I speak with a seemingly nice woman on the phone who takes my order information and assures me she will look up my order and call me right back. Her call never comes.
All is definitely not well.
July 23 - The weekend passes without receiving a phone call. I attempt to call them again, but no one answers. I get generic "The customer you have dialed cannot come to the phone", and "The number you have dialed is not available. Please try again later" messages. Ohhhhh man. I contact MC to open a dispute (they have to mail me stuff to fill out), and I send o2 carbonfibre a firmly displeased email outlining what has happened to me and demanding they either ship my order now, or refund my purchase in full. Of course, I receive no reply.
All is FUBAR.
Aug 1 - Due to website issues on eBay, I didn't get around to fully opening my dispute. I continue to wait for the forms from MC for me to fill out. Out of the blue, I get an email from the secondary address of o2, stating they have now shipped my order via UPS (I clearly requested USPS, as UPS is notorious for charging retarded broker fees at the border), giving me a tracking number, and otherwise oblivious that anything negative had been occurring.
All *might* just be ok?
Aug 6 - Though they claim to have shipped my order, everytime I check the UPS tracking page it merely displays "Billing Information Received" as my status. ie. a pickup has not yet been made. Granted, it's been the weekend, but there should have been a pick up today (Monday), no?
All is looking FUBAR again...
I plan to send another email if the status doesn't change tomorrow. I don't think MC will be able to cancel my payment. I am fully expecting to receive incorrect or generally sh*t parts if my order ever does arrive (not to mention an unpleasant Canadian Customs bill).
I guess what I'm saying in this long-winded post is actually quite simple: DO NOT EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM "o2 carbonfibre" of 8912 Hollingworthcourt 101 Las Vegas, NV 89117 United States, phone # 702-838-0252. Feel free to pass this along and repost it in any other forums you see fit.
