Hey guys, I blew a fork seal, and its weeping pretty bad, onto my right caliper even
I've never changed one on a sportbike, much less by myself. I'll have to wait until I get home to look at my manual but do I need a special spring compressor to take the fork apart?
I've only done fork oil changes on my old bike with coil-overs. And, since I will have to totally(?) dismantle the fork, I suppose I should get someone to true my wheel for me? Not sure what a great job I can do.... That whole string thing....!!!!
or is it worth it to just bring it to a shop if its a quick fix (seals are only $12 a pair tho) since I probably need my front brake pads done anyhow (one now has a little oil on the outside of the pad)...groan....
