Roof shingling party in exchange for dirt bike weekend, help needed Aug 24

I need to help a Mother and new born baby get a safe roof over there heads before the rain hits.

I can't do it myself and don't have the money to pay what it cost. I was going to Start Aug 24th Friday after work with shovel in hand knocking off the old shingles. And work all weekend. Roofing is really easy but it is time consuming. But with 10 or 12 people it would be knocked out and finished in 1 day easily.

If anyone can help There will be lot's of beer /cold beverages , Ted's manly man charcoal BBQ going ( steaks /potatoes/corn on the cob).

In exchange the following weekend if the job gets done. I'll take everyone who helped out to Hope for the best dirtbike riding experience you have ever been on. Plus you get a free Amsoil/filter oil change at 5thgear. PM or post up if you can help because any help will be very much appreciated.

How high a roof are we talking here? Any tools or gear we should bring?

Not cheap is it Bill? My Mom got a quote a couple weeks ago, it was over $8000 and her roof is pretty basic.
So guess who got that added to his list.
2 bathrooms and a fence down, working on this nightmare of a deck now, roof, gutters and a kitchen to go...

I can help on Friday after work for sure. Saturday to if I am kidless

Bring the kid, we have an 8 month old and while Mom was away last night I renowned the house for her to be baby proofed. I worked till 3 am every night but it was worth it. The baby love's it. So yes we can help look after your kid. There's a huge park right across the street.

Bill what's the roof pitch? if its steep i have two sets of roof jacks you can borrow and if there's room to set it up you can borrow my staging scaffolding as well.
I also have a bit of left over base pan and step flashing for around chimneys and a couple of rolls of #30 felt kicking around as well.i'll check out what else i've got stashed behind the shed.
let me know if you interested in any of it i and can drop it off at the shop.

Where's the house, Bill? I can probably come by and help out with something.
