Although i'm still inexperienced on a street bike, and I'm still getting my budget around some of the expenses (Snapperheads starting to give me cold stares every time i come into the dealership ) This really is one of the best things I've spent my money on. Seeing that bike every time i step out for a breather is one of the best feelings I've had in awhile. The concept of working for the next day used to seem so repugnant because of the simple monotony of it all. But I've found riding so enjoyable i can't wait to get on the road again, if i could ride my bike for all my errands i would. (Already bought myself a tank bag, waiting till it arrives)
ever since i was 14 whenever I saw a street bike i couldn't help but admire the vehicle and the person riding it (even if they were squiding it, but the guys in full gear always looked cooler.)
When i got my car at around 18 years I remember being told "You're probably gonna enjoy driving" when i still had my L. To be honest I never really did... I just enjoyed the freedom it offered, but going on a drive just to drive? I've only done that once (that was recently too...)
When i decided to get myself a sport bike (around late july) I was concerned that the gear, the maintenance, and maybe even the inconveniences of it would tire me out of the bike. When I finally took the bike out for its first ride, I changed the oil and the filter, when i started commuting to work... I realized that It's really no inconvenience at all, and the maintenance is actually part of the joy of owning a bike.
I used to go directly from Aberdeen to Dallas and back again for work. I do the same as i always did even with the sport bike...
but now i take the long way!
