Fund Raiser for Learie at 5thgear Saturday Sept 8 BBQ/Miniracing 6:00pm

One of our friends Learie broke his leg at the motard event on Sunday. He's new to the country and has no medical coverage. He is a great guy and desires some community support. I know he would never ask for it anyway.

We have 4 TTR 125's and will be setting up a course . Anyone can race the bikes $20 entry fee and Mike From Motoworld is donating some great prizes. We will can have as many riders as we want going.

There will be a by donation BBQ going and lot's of drinks.

We will even have the big screen driven theater up and running by the time it gets dark.

All money raised goes to helping out Learie and his family.

I SPAM'ed the Events and General section so hopefully more than just the motard'centric folks will be there.

At the 5thGear shop. If you've never been there it's near the Richmond Motorsports side of the strip mall that is right next to Pacific Yamaha on Westminster highway. Just go 'round the back and you'll see the crowd overflowing out of the shop's garage doors.

I'll come out early and help out with setup and whatever, since I know Rog and Brad will be there getting a head start on everyone.

20 bucks for a good cause AND get 'em hooked on the motard concept is a good deal if you ask me!

Not at all. And don't be cheap. Go for a second heat...

Come on out to check out the mini motard action at Tradex on Oct 6 and 7th. The Pacific Coast Mini Club is out there for a local practice and race on the 6th and a Regional race on the 7th. Bring your gear and borrow a bike for a noon hour run on the 6th.

And that's an open invitation to one and all. You won't find as much fun for as cheap in any other form of motorsport racing.

Sadly I won't be at the party this coming Saturday. I'll be down in Oregon on the first leg of a 2 week long tour down through the backroads of northern California and over to the Grand Canyon via Death Valley and up through Utah and Zion Park.

But I'm mailing in a cheque for the cause.

Y'all have a heap O' fun at da Partay, ya heauah... Dat's sauth'rn talk ya knowz.....

I am pretty sure that both Gio and myself can't be there but West Coast Superbike School will throw $250 into the hat for Learie and family.
