So you guys might've thought when you entered this thread that it's going to be one of those "damned cagers with their damned highbeams" ones eh? Well, you're wrong, it's going to be, "damned bikers and their highbeams!"
When I'm driving in my car (which is what do mostly now) sometimes cagers would piss me off with high beams. What do I do? Pull over and tail them with MY high beams. I believe that's justified. But when bikers leave their high beams on, there's really nothing I can do but pull over and let them pass (as I don't wanna cause a crash).
As a biker myself, I understand the importance of making yourself stand out and to protect yourself from cagers that might not see you, but when you put yourself in a cager's shoes, esp a cager who's got a very very low car ( I sit practically on the floor) it can get annoying and dangerous too. I mean, motorcycle highbeams ain't weak sauce and esp since they're usually mounted higher, can be very piercing.
I don't mind flashing. Flashing is a good idea in dangerous situations, but please give the constant high beam stuff a rest.
let the flames ensue.
