My question is... for those of you that have dedicated bikes for each - are they the same make/model, or do you have two separate make/models for the street and the track? I am contemplating dedicating a bike, not for racing, but for track days - eventually leading up to racing if I aquire the skills and $$ to fund the hobby. My thoughts are - if I do say 6-8 track days a year - that's only 6-8 days a year that I'll be riding the bike, versus riding a different make/model street bike, won't I have to adjust to the bike each and every time I take it out? Its not that big a deal really, but just poking around as to what people have done in this situation. Would be easier to buy a bike for cheap (that's got cosmetic damage) throw race fairings on it to stay, and have it set up and ready to go to the track, as opposed to stripping the street bike and having spare fairings to swap on and off each time. Advice?
