It's about time. Maybe bikes will drop in price too.
No shit, this goes for about every single product sold in Canada.
That's what it takes to catch the auto companies attention.
My bike is so much faster than yours that I dare you to ride it, you lame little turd. Do you have the balls to ride this BOTTOMLESS PIT OF TORQUE?

Shit. I took my screwing two weeks too late. The lawsuit covers anyone who bought a vehicle in Canada between August 2005 and August 2007.
How does a class action lawsuit work, I'd heard on the news today that this was initiated by four people in Toronto. Are they just trying to cash in?
if you guys want to be like the states so much why don't we let bush come run canada then.
I would rather pay higher prices and live like we do.
Screw bush I say we get Ross Perot to run Canada
if the corporate world went unchecked in ANY society then we would all be slaves(ok, even more so...) to corporate will.
this is NOT a suit over personal responsiblity and liabilty regarding, say, spilt coffee. the fact that suits like this make headlines keeps corporate canada honest(sort of) and protects the consumer. sure a few lawyers are making some bucks, but they are, in this instance, using the system and choosing causes that end up doing society good.

Spend some time living in the states and then you will now what i mean.
I just think its funny that the dollars goes near even with usd for a couple of weeks and everybody feels that every retail price on everything should go down with it.
How do you know the dollar will hold? What if they even out the prices and the our dollar goes back down?
Will you repay the car company the extra money they lose?
Like when I lower prices on my website and everybody calls back to get the difference refunded.
What about when I raise prices should i know charge everybody who bought at a lower price the difference?
Why does nobody call when i raise prices to pay me the extra?
you can't expect an entire country to write its retail market in a few weeks because of a strong dollar.
But i do agree they charge to much here but I dont find its to excessive when the dollar is in the 70-90 cent range.
Right now I fell they are making more forsure but it takes time.
you can't even get them to pick up the garbage on time so complain and sue all you want it wont change any faster.
+1 to what mosquito said.
You're only being foolish if you think retail prices can be as variable as the fluctuating dollar. With time it will stabalize but you cannot jump when we aren't even sure how stable this parity is.
There are alot of retailers that purchased inventory at -12 points, and now that we are at parity you cannot expect them to drop 12 points of thier margin until they roll thier inventory over and *Hope* suppliers follow suit when they reorder.
I was in the US last week and trust me. Other then big ticket items with red tape hassles there isn't much of a deal to be had on anything. Go ahead, buy your couches and pressure washers down south. Add up the duty/fuel/time up and let me know what kind of deal you get...
Too sexy for this forum.
We are just looking for fairness.
If one corner store wants to sell a bag of chips for a $1, and a vending machine in an office building wants to sell the same bag or chips for $2, YOU have the right to not buy the more expensive bag of chips. And if EVERYONE didn't buy chips 'cause the overall price was too expensive, the manufacturer would be forced to consider something like pricing.
... but until that happens, SCREW AWAY!
