Its either I am the biggest idiot and don't know how to ride a dry clutch bike or Ducati takes me for a idiot. my 1098 since day one, i had problems getting it into neutral when it is moving or idling but when the motor is off it was fine.
I mentioned it to my dealer when i first got it, and they said they will look into it after they get the stalling issues worked out. Ok fine, so after 7months with the bike, stalling issue is still there but i asked them to look into the neutral problem. they tore the clutch apart and said my clutch is worn out. how the hell can i wear out a clutch after 2000km of very gentle city riding?
It's not covered under warrantee, so they want me to fork out $300 for a new clutch. and they blame it on my open clutch setup. I changed to and open cover, springs and pressure plate. so they are blaming it on that.
there are alot of ducatis with that setup with no problems.
It's not the $300, it's the fact i spent $27K on that bike and they could at least fix it out of good faith to keep a customer. after all that bike has been in their shop for stalling for over 3 months in total. 6 visits and they still can't fix it. a good portion of those kms were put on by them.
can some of you ducati guys enlighten me? Am i a moron or are they trying to blame me for this?
